About the role
Pay Details: Level 3 Grade 5 SPC 8-12 £26,824 - £28,598 Pro Rata £13.90 - £14.82 Per Hour

Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Main Place of Work: Fairfield Primary School

Temporary Reason: Temporary for the year- April 2026 to April 2027 (may be renewed)

Description:
We are looking to appoint a skilled individual to join our team. We are looking for someone is caring, enthusiastic and will enjoy working as part of a dedicated and professional team. We are seeking candidates who are confident and experienced in supporting young children in the early stages of their development.

About you
You will need:

Good numeracy/literacy/ICT skills.
An NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification – achieved or undergoing training
Experience of working within an Early Years setting.
A working knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales within a Foundation Learning setting
Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes.
To be able to use ICT effectively to support learning.
A commitment to the overall care and development of our pupils.
A full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation in keep children safe.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
To work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
