Duties of the Vehicle Damage Assessor:
- Conduct detailed inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair requirements
- Accurately estimate repair costs, timescales, and document repair methods as a Vehicle Damage Assessor
- Liaise with insurers to obtain repair authorisations while managing costs effectively
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to ensure repair clarity and quality
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance and customer service throughout the process
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or Estimator within a busy bodyshop environment
- ATA or IMI accreditation is preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with Audatex estimating software is highly desirable
- Excellent technical knowledge with meticulous attention to detail
- Full UK manual driving licence with minimal points
- Ability to produce proof of Right to Work at interview (passport or birth certificate)
- Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check
