What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you an experienced and capable Teacher or Teaching Assistant looking to join a warm, friendly school? Could you deliver a variety of numeracy related learning activities and interventions in order to raise standards of numeracy across our maths department?
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen in the Mathematics Department, for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to work alongside the department and its leadership team to develop the quality of delivery and support available for our students.
The successful candidate will support students with weak numeracy skills across the school and lead on planning, delivering and evaluating programs of numeracy support and interventions for individuals/groups/whole classes of students both in and outside the classroom. In addition, you will also be responsible for monitoring students and assessing, recording and reporting on students’ achievement, progress and development.
You should:
• Have experience of working with students with additional needs.
• Have a flexible and proactive approach to supporting students.
• Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative.
• Be able to build excellent working relationships with students, staff and parents.
• A good understanding of the issues relating to child development and inclusion.
• Have very strong literacy and numeracy skills
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Have good IT skills.
• Have good behaviour management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding children.
