Summary
To ensure the care provided to children and families is highly personalised and of the highest quality. To lead a team of up to 10 care staff - with full line management for some, as required and identified by the Head of Care. These staff should be supported to develop their full potential including line management / buddy skills. As part of the Care Team Leaders group attend management meetings working as a leadership team to address hospice wide issues and projects. To support the Head of care in the management of the care budget at the hospice, ensuring a cost-effective service delivery and that spending lies within the agreed budget. To ensure that the ethos and quality standards of CHSW are positively promoted and a safe and professional service is delivered at all times. To recognise the challenges of working within a palliative care setting and ensure a sensitive and individualised approach is applied to the support and pastoral care of the Care Team. To promote good communication and to ensure effective mechanisms are in place for disseminating information. To represent and promote CHSW and the philosophy of childrens hospice care beyond the establishment.
