Summary

Are you looking for a role where you can get hands‑on, keep a busy bakery running smoothly, and make a real impact every day? As an Engineer at our Dorset site, you’ll play a key part in keeping our production equipment operating safely, reliably, and at its best. You’ll use your technical know‑how to keep downtime low, support a smooth-running bakery, and help maintain the exceptional quality we’re known for.

You’ll join a small, supportive, and conscientious engineering team where everyone pulls together, gets stuck in, and takes pride in what they do. With rotating shifts, varied work, and a friendly environment, you’ll enjoy a role that’s fast‑paced, rewarding, and full of opportunities to learn. And with a growing bakery and ongoing investment, it’s an ideal setting for someone who’s motivated by development, teamwork, and seeing the results of their work first‑hand.

Your Role in Creating Quality Bakes:

  • Deliver fast, effective maintenance across high‑speed food production and packaging equipment, keeping the site running smoothly and minimising downtime.
  • Take ownership of equipment readiness by completing permits, coordinating deep‑clean access, and ensuring every machine is safe, compliant, and ready to perform.
  • Stay sharp on shift—spotting issues early, fixing faults quickly, and working with your engineering team to maintain seamless production cover.
  • Partner with Hygiene, Production, and external specialists to keep equipment spotless, audit‑ready, and fully aligned with strict Food Safety and H&S standards.
  • Play a key role in wider operations, stepping in where needed and adapting with the business as production demands evolve.

The Key Ingredients:
  • Knowledge & Experience: Fully trained electrical/mechanical engineer with process‑machinery understanding.
  • Skills: High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and effective problem‑solving.
  • Qualifications: Recognised electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
