Summary
This role undertakes the role of Approved Clinician for an identified client group and is responsible for the care and treatment of mentally disordered people compulsorily detained under the Mental Health Act 1983. The postholder is responsible for the assessment of all levels of clinical risk within an evidence-based framework and for undertaking mental health assessments adopting a whole person approach incorporating biological, psychological, cultural, and social perspectives. The postholder will provide strong, visible leadership to MDT colleagues, leading the treatment, formulation, review, and ongoing care/treatment pathway for the patient group. The postholder will work autonomously, within professional guidelines, and will be responsible for compiling and completing statutory documentation and providing written AC reports under the Mental Health Act.
