Role:Senior Healthcare Assistant (Band 3) Location:University Hospitals Plymouth (on-site) Salary: £25,760 - £27,476 per annum + enhancements, and a whole list of Marie Curie employee benefits Contract:Full-Time and Part-Time available We are seeking a number of compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our team. You will be a member of the Multidisciplinary team providing high standards of evidence-based person-centred care for patients at UHP, including assessing and understanding the personal care and support needs of patients and those important to them, planning and providing person-centred care based on the individual need. This role will require you to be kind, caring and empathetic as you will work with the person and those closest to them to ensure the voice, needs and views of the person being cared for are heard in a meaningful way, recognising and protecting vulnerable adults and children. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, your duties will include monitoring and assisting in maintain patients skin integrity and personal hygiene, conducting nutrition assessments, attending to comfort needs to assist with rest/sleep, provide support with mobility, monitor vitals and overall promote and maintain a clean and tidy care environment. Qualifications NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care OR an equivalent alternative Level 3 Qualification Recent experience in caring for and supporting patients at the end of life. A passion, knowledge and understanding of how to deliver person centred care A clear, appropriate and sensitive communicator who can make informed decisions in a timely manner Someone who understands the importance of prioritising a patients care, comfort and privacy Experience working within a Multidisciplinary team, assisting in curating individual assessments and advanced care plans. Knowledge of IT in particular Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
