Summary
To liaise with Sponsors, Researchers and Clinical teams to discuss feasibility of studies and arrange meetings for the study to be presented to the clinicians. To attend relevant clinical meetings, directorate clinical effectiveness meetings (CEGs) to provide Research updates. To act as the first point of contact for the Research office and handle enquiries from researchers, clinicians and external bodies, and to provide complex information and guidance related to clinical research governance. The post holder is required to exercise judgment about when such inquiries should be referred on or action taken personally. To monitor the Research shared inbox and provide timely responses to queries and escalation as required. To be responsible for the Trusts research approval process, ensuring compliance with the requirements of research governance, under the supervision of the Research Governance and Delivery Manager. To ensure high standards of research governance delivery across the Trust. To support researchers applying for regulatory approvals and research grant applications. To be responsible for the management of the Research Dashboard and ensuring the data is kept up to date according to the life cycle of the study. To ensure EDGE (R&D Local Portfolio Management System) records are maintained and up to date. To be an EDGE superuser and ensure information is appropriately entered into the system in a timely and accurate manner to meet the requirements of the NIHR and its partner agencies. To be at the interface with the South London Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) and external partners, providing information and enabling effective communication as well as attending meetings virtually or in person if required To ensure that all Trust employees are aware of and compliant with research governance standards. To ensure adequate monitoring systems are set up and adhered to throughout the lifecycle of the research projects
