We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to support the full commercial lifecycle of projects within a fast-paced facilities management (FM) environment.​

This role will ensure accurate cost control, robust commercial governance, and effective contract management across capital projects, lifecycle works, and reactive programmes.​

Working within NEC4 contractual frameworks, you will maintain financial accuracy, assess risk, and support best-practice commercial delivery.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can work collaboratively with Project Managers, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver strong commercial outcomes across this government contract.

You will be trusted to produce clear financial reporting, oversee supplier performance, and uphold compliance throughout both pre-contract and post-contract stages.

Key Responsibilities

Receive project requests from the client and review supplier tenders to establish requirements.

Prepare and issue tender documentation in line with NEC and internal processes.

Analyse returned tenders and provide informed commercial recommendations.

Prepare supplier appointment documentation including Deal Sheets, subcontract agreements, and pricing schedules.

Upload tender information, priced proposals, and supporting documentation into CEMAR or other digital systems.

Maintain cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting throughout project delivery.

Prepare monthly valuations and applications for payment following NEC procedures.

Review, validate, and approve supplier applications, invoices, variations, and final accounts.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong experience in cost planning, estimating, valuations, and commercial reporting.

Proven knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 administration including CEs and EWNs.

Confident in preparing and analysing tenders, supplier submissions, and subcontract documentation.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation, modelling).

Ability to interpret scopes, drawings, specifications, and FM-related technical details.

Experience using digital contract management tools such as CEMAR.

Strong financial control capability including forecasting, accruals, and reconciliation.

Facilities Management, construction, lifecycle or maintenance environment experience.

Knowledge of building fabric and M&E systems.

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

High attention to detail, strong organisation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Problem-solver with a proactive, professional approach to governance and compliance.

Degree, HNC, or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline. Or has experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor and is actively working toward professional qualification.

NEC training or ability to demonstrate NEC competency.

UK driving licence (travel to client sites).
