Personal Assistant – Supporting an Active Music Lover
A friendly, reliable and energetic Personal Assistant is sought to support an independent gentleman with sight loss who enjoys an active and sociable lifestyle. This role is about enabling him to continue enjoying the things that matter most to him, both at home and out in the community.
Music is a big part of his life. He enjoys a wide range of musical genres and regularly attends concerts and events. The right person will share his enthusiasm for getting out and about and will accompany him to live music events and other activities he enjoys.
He also values spending time with friends and enjoys walking into town to visit cafés and restaurants. Your support will help him stay connected with the people and places that are important to him.
Alongside social activities, you will also provide practical support with organising paperwork, managing correspondence, and helping arrange appointments and transport. At times, you may accompany him to meetings, clubs, and other engagements.
This role is about building a positive and respectful working relationship, supporting the individual to remain independent, confident, and active in his community.
The hours are flexible and will be agreed in advance to support planned activities and events.
A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as you may occasionally be asked to drive to activities or appointments.

• Supporting the employer to attend concerts, events, clubs and social activities
• Accompanying him to cafés, restaurants and community outings
• Assisting with organising appointments, tickets, transport and correspondence
• Providing support with paperwork and general organisation
• Offering guidance and reassurance when out in the community

Wages will be paid in arrears on a 4 weekly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.
You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.
You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
