Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a caring and experienced EYFS Nursery Assistant to join a supportive nursery. You’ll plan and deliver engaging activities, support children’s learning and development, and nurture their social and emotional growth in a positive, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistant with planning and delivering engaging activities for children within the nursery
Support learning, social, emotional, and physical development in a safe, nurturing environment
Observe and record progress to guide next steps
Maintain a calm, inclusive setting and promote positive behaviour
Requirements:
Ideally will have Level 2-3 childcare qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent)
Experience working with children aged 0–6 years in a nursery or early years setting
Knowledge of EYFS framework and child development principles
Strong communication and teamwork skills with colleagues and parents
Understanding of health, safety, and safeguarding practices in childcare
Enhanced DBS (on Update Service) required prior to starting
