About the Role
Lambeth’s Youth Justice Service is seeking an experienced Youth Engagement Coordinator to lead a team delivering early intervention and targeted support to young people at risk of offending, exploitation, homelessness or family breakdown. You’ll oversee staff, manage complex cases, ensure high‑quality practice and work closely with multi‑agency partners.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise Prevention Officers and sessional staff
Act as lead professional for young people with multiple/complex needs
Oversee assessments, intervention plans and risk management
Build strong partnerships with Early Help, Social Care, Education, Police, Health and community organisations
Deliver innovative, strengths‑based and whole‑family interventions
Monitor grant spend, performance data and service outcomes
Represent the service at meetings and multi‑agency forums
Support training, development and service improvement
Requirements
Significant experience managing complex youth/family cases
Strong background in systemic and whole‑family practice
Multi‑agency working experience as lead professional
Ability to supervise staff and maintain high practice standards
Relevant degree‑level qualification (e.g., social work, teaching, health, criminal justice, probation) or PCEP + degree
Ability to work evenings, weekends and across community locations
