We’re looking for an experienced and confident L&OD professional to join our warm, high-performing team on a fixed-term basis (22.2 hours per week, until October 2026) to work on a wide-reaching organisational project focused on Competency & Conduct Frameworks.
About The Role
This is a unique opportunity to drive a high-impact piece of work that is central to our future culture, professionalism, and regulatory readiness.
Alongside the core responsibilities of an L&OD Specialist, the primary focus of this assignment will be to:
- Develop a full suite of competency and conduct matrices across all role families
- Facilitate specialist-level conversations with managers to define “what good looks like”
- Create clear, measurable frameworks that support capability building and professional standards
- Work with leaders and People & OD colleagues to embed these into everyday practice
- Work with our Learning Management system (Kallidus) to create digital skill profiles and organisation wide skills gap analysis.
This project is significant in scale and importance, with around 140 role profiles requiring updated or newly designed matrices by October 2026.

About You
You’ll bring:
- Strong experience in L&OD, OD or similar specialist roles
- Excellent facilitation and consultation skills
- Confidence engaging senior leaders and SMEs
- Ability to translate complex role requirements into clear, useful frameworks
- Strong organisation and project management skills
- A collaborative style and a passion for enabling people to perform at their best
- Previous experience with an LMS/LMX system desirable.
You don’t need prior competency framework experience specifically, but you do need be a credible and reliable team player who can build relationships through excellent communication and stakeholder management and have a passion for delivering a high level of customer service.
