Summary

A Vacancy at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.


To manage and monitor waiting lists to ensure that procedures are carried out
within specified Government targets and locally agreed clinical protocols.
To provide and maintain an efficient and effective administrative service,
undertaking a range of administrative duties in line with local policies and
procedures.
Assist in the smooth running of the ward reception ensuring patients are dealt
with in an efficient manner, whilst adhering to Trust policies at all times.

Waiting List Management Duties
• To coordinate and monitor waiting lists.
Coordination and production of accurate waiting time information on a weekly
basis and ensuring that there are no outliers to the targets. The post holder
will experience a daily requirement to produce accurate work at speed.

General/ Administrative Duties
• To provide and maintain an efficient and effective administrative service.
Routine duties include; answering telephone enquiries, updating
computer databases, filing, case note requests and preparation.
Dealing effectively with mail, redirecting where necessary.
• Prioritise and organise own workload daily.
• Suggest changes in practice to local systems and processes to ensure
that the service is as efficient and effective as possible.
• Undertake reception duties, greeting and registering patients and
answering the telephone. Deal efficiently with all hospital staff and
visitors.
• Maintain professional standards in appearance, behaviour and punctuality.
• Assist in training and supervision of new members of staff, whilst carrying
out one’s own duties.

SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT
• Use of computer equipment, Microsoft software packages and other
appropriate software applications.
• Use of e-mail
Use of photocopier, scanner, printers
