Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Primary responsibility for delivering clinical services, including: Supporting diagnostic investigation for cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastics and YAG assessments. Contribute to safe, effective and efficient functioning of diagnostic services. Managing the relationship with the patient and conveying information to agreed protocols to them, ensuring that exceptional customer service is delivered. Management of patient data; ensuring availability, required accuracy and confidentiality. Maintain high professional standards of ophthalmic imaging and investigation services to patients by performing, verifying and recording results of clinical testing with absolute integrity. Provide support and assistance to both optometrists and ophthalmologists to ensure optimal patient flow and provide a high level of patient care Undertaking other ad hoc and administrative tasks as required ensuring the smooth running of the clinic. Appropriate escalation of process, clinical, equipment, quality or infection risk issues. Committed to continued professional development and clinical governance, including participating in appraisal process, completion of mandatory training and clinical audits and research as required.
