About the role


We are looking for a People and Payroll assistant to join our People & Culture department. As a People & Payroll assistant the successful candidate will work closely with the wider People & Culture Team, managers and employees to provide a full range of administrative support, ensuring that all processes are undertaken in an efficient and timely manner.


As a People & Payroll assistant you will be involved in our core absence processing, this involves entering absence notifications whilst ensuring that the partnership’s policies and legislation are adhered to whilst escalating issues where appropriate. The assistant will also be expected to pick up additional ad-hoc tasks to help support the wider team.


The position is primarily based at Grimsby but there may be the rare occasion cross-campus travel could be required but transport can be provided if necessary. The successful candidate will have strong administrative skills and experience working to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and be a strong team player. You must have excellent communication skills as the role requires you to provide a great customer service. Previous knowledge of basic payroll or HR processing would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
