This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Winchester district that is rich in history with a thriving, vibrant, and diverse economy.
You will play a key role in the delivery of the council’s ambitious council house building and acquisition programme.
With a current council housing stock of over 5000 homes, around 500 new council homes already completed, and a strong forward funded development programme, the council has ambitious plans to meet its Council Plan priority of Good Homes for All.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Project Support Officer to work across the New Homes team. Reporting to the Service Lead for New Homes, this role will require excellent attention to detail, good communication and negotiating skills, and strong IT and digital experience. A previous background in housing or a construction-related field is desirable.
It will be a varied and enjoyable role, and we pride ourselves on our team spirit and ability to get things done.
In return, we offer an excellent package of benefits including:
- Employer paid health cash plan
- Salary sacrifice scheme for cars and bikes
- 26 days annual leave per year rising to 33 days - dependent on length of service (plus flexi-time and option to buy further annual leave)
- Membership to the Local Government Pension Scheme
- Discounts at a range of major high street brands and the two leisure centres in the district
- Season Ticket loans
- Support for continuous professional development
