Join Our Team as a Housing Support Worker!

Do you enjoy helping people find stability, confidence and a safe place to call home? If you want to make a real difference in your community, this could be the perfect role for you.

As part of the Wakefield Access to Housing Pathway Team, you’ll support adults across the district who need accommodation or are at risk of homelessness. You’ll manage your own caseload, carry out assessment, create trauma-informed support plans, and provide practical person-centred guidance that helps clients move towards independent living.

This is a role for someone who loves variety, autonomy, and community connection. You’ll build strong professional relationships with clients, work closely with partner agencies, landlords, and specialist services, and play an active part in matching individuals to suitable accommodation.

Who we’re looking for:

Experience of working with vulnerable people.
Good interpersonal skills including listening and display empathy
Experience of managing a caseload, delivering support, and maintaining records.
A valid UK driving licence (or one permitting driving in the UK) and access to a vehicle for work purposes
