About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our supportive team in Middleton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils with special educational needs, supporting them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, maintaining accurate records
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or specialist setting)
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting SEN learners
Desirable:
- Additional SEN qualifications or training
- Experience with behaviour management strategies
- Knowledge of EHCP processes
