Commercial Underwriter – Property & Casualty
Location – Maidstone (3 days a week in office)
Salary – Up to £50,000 (Depending on experience)

IPS Group are working with a leading Global Insurer to bring in a Commercial Underwriter to join their Property & Casualty team based in Maidstone.

The role

In this role, you will take ownership of major deals, using your expertise to win and retain key accounts while building strong partnerships with brokers to create new opportunities and grow their market presence.

You will represent the business through face‑to‑face meetings, networking, and industry events, and you’ll support the wider team by guiding colleagues, reviewing referrals, and helping maintain high service standards.

Working closely with internal teams, you will streamline processes to deliver smooth, client‑focused solutions, and act as a reliable contact for priority clients by anticipating their needs and providing tailored support.

This is the perfect opportunity for a proven Underwriter that has worked with P&C premiums upwards of £10,000 all the way to more complex cases reaching £250,000.

This is your opportunity to lead complex deals, strengthen broker partnerships, and make a visible impact in a role that’s central to their commercial success.

What’s required?

The ideal person will have proven experience in P&C Underwriting and dealt with Complex risks -They will consider someone who has strictly done Existing Business, but preference is for a New Business Underwriter.
