We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to a 23 yr old female starting out in her own home with an assisted living package, this includes home care and accessing the community. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for her. Helping her to gain confidence and learn life long skills. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills in patient care and support.Daily duties will include companionship and emotional support, assisting with decision making on daily living whilst building her confidence to make informed decisions.Ensuring she is compliant with medication and keeping appointments there will be lots of fun activities too.Whilst most days are happy go lucky enjoyable days out visiting zoo's, National trust premises, eating out, swimming, ten pin bowling and cinema trips. There will be challenging days too when she is feeling anxious or her routine is changed there can be some quite challenging behavior. Mostly she is happy, fun loving and caring.This young lady has a part time job which she needs transport to and from along with assistance to do her job effectively. This is approx 30 mins to 1 hours each morning.She has her own car. Any applicant must have a full clean driving licence and be able to drive an automatic. DBS essential.This role is 1:1 care.The care package includes 24 hour care so weekends, bank holidays and sleepovers are an essential part of the job.Shift pattern to be confirmed at a later date to suite client and carers. Part -time and full -time hours are available.Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as prompts for bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility (needs walking poles if on rough terrain).
- Administer medication following prescribed care plans and medical instructions
- Assist in preparation of nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Monitor and document changes in health status or behavior, reporting any concerns promptly
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or errands and days out.
- Implement specialised care techniques for autistic meltdowns.
- Follow established care plans and adhere to health and safety regulations
- Engage in behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions.
- Order repeat prescriptions.
- Proven experience in home care, is desirable but not essential
- First aid certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provide
- Strong organisational skills and time management skills
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills and patience
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Valid driving licence is essential for providing transportation services
- Experience with behavior management is beneficial
This is a mix of day and night shifts and there will be a team of workers to cover 24/7
£14.67 per hour (waking hours) £12.71 per hour (sleep-in hours)
