Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school. This is an exciting opportunity to support our youngest learners at the very start of their educational journey.

Working within our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing through high-quality interactions, play-based learning, and nurturing care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning experiences
• Work with individuals and small groups to support learning and development
• Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
• Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
• Assist with observations and assessment of children’s progress
• Promote positive behaviour and model excellent communication and interaction
• Support routines including snack time, outdoor learning, and transitions

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with young children, ideally within an EYFS setting
• Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework
• Be patient, nurturing, and passionate about early childhood development
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
• Be proactive, flexible, and willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
