We’re looking for a Project Support Officer to join our Transformation & Change PMO someone who thrives on supporting teams, coordinating projects and ensuring smooth delivery of change across the council.

This is your chance to play a vital role in projects that impact residents, modernise services and drives transformation at the council . This is a great opportunity to be an integral part of how we deliver projects and programmes at the council.

What you'll be doing
  • Support the delivery of transformation and digital projects across the organisation
  • Coordinate and administer project tasks, meetings and documentation
  • Maintain accurate project documents, plans, RAID logs and reports
  • Assist Project Managers and Business Analysts in tracking and monitoring progress
  • Communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders
  • Champion continuous improvement and value for money
Who we're looking for

We’re looking for a proactive and organised Project Support Officer someone with experience supporting projects in a public sector environment. You’ll understand the importance of coordination, documentation and communication in delivering change, ideally within local government.

Integrity and a passion for making a difference are important. You’ll be comfortable building relationships and communicating effectively with stakeholders from front line staff to senior leaders and residents.

We work in a hybrid way with the team in the office (Number One Riverside) 3 days a week. The PMO team work closely with colleagues across the business and at all levels so you will have opportunities to connect with lots of colleagues across different sites. Our team have a wealth of experience from a number of industries, public and private sector and across different disciplines (Programme and Project Management and Business Analysis) and have in-depth knowledge of the organisation, structures and processes.
