About you

Kitchen porters support the overall operations of the Food & Beverage department by providing support to the kitchen & front of
house teams. Kitchen porters are direct representatives of The Glasshouse International Centre for Music.

Kitchen Porters provide functional support to the rest of the Food & Beverage team, ensure that cleanliness & hygiene standard are
met across the main Food & Beverage areas.







It would be great if you had experience in:

* Previous kitchen porter experience in Kitchen environment




Skills and knowledge of:

* Use of utensil washers




It also helps if you have:

* 2-3 years experience in a similar role
* HACCP & COSH Knowledge




You’ll be responsible for:

Operational Duties

* To ensure that hygiene standards are met and exceeded
* To ensure all crockery, cutlery & kitchen equipment are cleaned efficiently & appropriately.
* To ensure all the Kitchen surfaces, walls & floors are cleaned and regularly maintained
* To find appropriate storage for cleaning equipment and chemicals in line with protocols.
* Regularly emptying bins & dispose of in appropriate external bins (i.e. food, recycling)
* Maintaining storage rooms & ensure all products are easily accessible.
* Collecting & signing for deliveries when required
* Assisting with stock rotation
* Comply with all food safety and hygiene measures




General

* • Develop an excellent knowledge of Sage Gateshead’s programme and audience
* • Adhere to all Health & Safety protocols
* • Adhere to GDPR guidelines
* • Any other duties as reasonably requested of you in your role
