We are looking for an Emergency Department Stores & Equipment Administrator

To support the Emergency Department Inventory & Supplies team with the distribution of stock and replenishment of medical consumables across the Emergency Department clinical floor.

Your role will involve working within a team to provide a high quality service which offers a timely responsive and pro-active service for the movement of stock, materials and equipment within the Emergency Department and Emergency Floor


• To prepare emergency equipment packs
• Ensure restocking of all equipment required for service provision
• Ordering of stock when required.
• Restocking of areas when requested in a timely manner ensuring that these areas are not overstocked.
• Any other duties as may reasonably be required toassist clinical staff to ensure a safe environment for patients and staffin support of the clinical teams in the Emergency Floor.
• To produce a high standard of work at all times, particularly when working under pressure, in order to meet strict and demanding deadlines.
• To undertake all work in a highly sensitive and confidential manner.
• General duties, e.g. delivery of beds, materials/equipment and all other removal requests that arise in the course of the day's duties.
• Replenish and maintain all emergency equipment and trolleys as well as regular cleaning and stocking of equipment trolleys in use in the clinical area.
• To develop and maintain relationships with staff in the adult and ED departments to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with the service provided

To assist clinical staff to ensure the environment is safe



To daily check and ensure that any broken equipment is taken to EBME and replacement equipment is loan to the department by EBME where appropriate and have and keep a list of equipment not in the department



Collection of medical devices from other areas of the trust



For the day to day safety and security of the ED equipment and store facilities



To order, receive and process internal requisitions via the Trusts online computerised system for all ED stores items (excluding drugs) in a cost effective and timely manner and in line with Trust procedures.



To monitor, report and update the maximum and minimum stock levels held in the ED stores basic inventory program ensuring that a consistent and cost effective approach to stockholding is achieved



Ensure all stock is in date and stored correctly, and any out of date stock is disposed of accordingly



Responsible for monthly stock take and reconciliation with the basic inventory package. Investigating of non-balancing stock



Preparation of weekly and or monthly reports on stock for the ED senior nurse / matron



Undertake yearly Trust audit of all stock



Liaising with suppliers / internal facilities department as necessary



To unpack and accurately store all deliveries.



Ensure all trolleys within ED are checked twice per day and stocked accordingly including PPE maintenance



To return goods to suppliers / facilities department ensuring credit due or replacement goods are returned to the Trust



Ensure all emergency trolleys and back up trolleys are correctly stored



Devise and maintain a robust storage system that is conducive to stock being accessed immediately



Carry out a safety check of sharp bins daily ensure correct trust policy is being followed
