Summary

Front of House Team Leader

London | Part-time (20-week contract) | £17 per hour

Requirements

Essential

• Experience with BBQ cooking and food preparation
• Experience supervising or leading a team
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards
• Understanding of licensing laws and responsible alcohol service (Challenge 25)
• Ability to work evenings (typically 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm, Tuesday to Thursday, depending on bookings)
• Availability to work on 9 July
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

• Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment
• Experience managing rotas, stock control, or ordering
• Previous responsibility for opening/closing or running shifts
• Safeguarding training

The role

• Lead and supervise front-of-house operations to deliver excellent customer service
• Organise and oversee food and beverage service, including BBQ cooking and food preparation
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and licensing regulations
• Support team scheduling, delegate tasks, and assist with training new staff
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming front-of-house environment
• Handle customer enquiries and bookings, and resolve issues professionally
• Support stock management and minimise waste
