Summary
Be accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of individual patient care. Undertake risk assessments to the patients that are going to have endoscopic procedures. Undertake nursing assessments, obtaining a detailed past medical history and ordering appropriate clinical investigations. The post holder will be participating in the out of hours on-call rota for Gastrointestinal Bleed rota. Undertake face to face and telephone pre assessment in the absence of the pre assessment nurse to ensure patients are appropriately assess for the procedure, offering support and advice as appropriate.
