Summary
As a member of the Parkinson's Clinical Nurse Specialist team you will participate in nurse led clinics for both newly diagnosed patients and also regular review clinics for patients. Alongside this you will be required to undertake both urgent and review phone clinics. You will be required to take part in the annual Parkinson's UK audit to highlight areas of excellence or improvement for the service and to the patients. You will provide knowledge and support to patients living with Parkinson's and their loved ones and also to provide insight and support to other health care professionals. Work as a core member of the multi-disciplinary team and at times liaising and acting as a specialist resource across multi-agency specialties. You will be required to work autonomously within your limitations within the clinical settings across the region as well as provide support for patients and health care professionals within the acute setting.
