Summary
*To undertake venous blood samples (phlebotomy), ensuring the highest quality of patient centred care at all times *To provide patients with appropriate level of support and reassurance throughout procedures *To be constantly observant and to promptly report any changes in the patient's condition and circumstance *To maintain infection prevention and control measures at all times in line with ECCH policy including sharps injury *Promote confidence in the patient by means of appropriate standards of appearance, behaviour and attitudes *Safeguard the confidentiality of all information regarding the patient and their family *To be able to respond effectively without direct supervision in an emergency situation where there is concern for the health and well-being of the patient *Maintain sufficient stock levels of equipment for service and participate in re-ordering of equipment to ensure smooth delivery *Comply with the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act, reporting hazards and adverse incidents, and proactively contributing to improving the safety of patients, staff and visitors *Ensure own competence in the use of equipment. Maintain all items of equipment in a clean and tidy condition, reporting faults and deficiencies promptly. *To participate in personal development process *Maintain compliance with mandatory training and attend other training as required. *All roles within East Coast Community Healthcare CIC (ECCH) require staff to demonstrate our Values and Signature Behaviours in the care and service they provide to patients, service users, stakeholders and colleagues.
