Are you looking for an opportunity to join an established peer workforce in a leadership role in training and development?

We are seeking an experienced peer worker/trainer to join CNWL’s Peer & Lived Experience Workforce as Deputy Team Lead for the Peer & Lived Experience Training Team.

To ensure the development and delivery of training for peer and lived experience workers across and beyond CNWL is provided in line with the principles and ethos of recovery and social inclusion, the Band 7 Deputy Peer & Lived Experience Training Team Lead will contribute their lived experience of recovery, professional experience as a peer support worker, peer trainer and peer supervisor, as well as their specialist knowledge and expertise in supporting the organisation to deliver recovery-focused lived experience-centric training opportunities, optimising the contribution of CNWL’s peer and lived experience workforce and meeting the requirements of our internal and external training provision.

The Deputy Peer & Lived Experience Training Team Lead will support the development of training packages, programmes and pathways for CNWL’s peer and lived experience workforce Trustwide and to external stakeholders, assuming deputised responsibility for the development, implementation and delivery of training in line with contractual obligations and workforce strategy aims. They will support and deputise for the Trustwide Peer & Lived Experience Training and Development Lead to ensure high quality training delivery is maintained and operational leadership is provided to the team.

The Deputy Peer & Lived Experience Training Team Lead will contribute to the Central Lived Experience Team, strategically planning and guiding training development, and providing professional supervision to the team. The Deputy will contribute to the development of our Senior Peer Development Programme, as well as have oversight of student and assignment support for our external training offer.

They will work closely with the Trustwide Peer & Lived Experience Training & Development Lead and Training Team Administrator to ensure smooth and consistent delivery of our external peer training programme, as well as on regular monitoring and reporting on assigned KPIs to make sure team objectives are being met.
