Summary
Our team of 80+ staff provide a range of services from digital development and integration, to server management and maintenance, as well as standard desktop and business application support. On a day-to-day basis, we manage and deliver all the IT systems and services needed by our partners and customers.
We are a modern IT Operation utilising Office 365, Microsoft Azure, DevOps and other up-to-date applications.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our IT service desk support team.
This is a great introductory role to working in IT, and you will be working in a help desk environment, helping our staff with a variety of IT issues and questions.
The individual will be providing first-line Service Desk /Help Desk support within the ICT Shared Service to customers across the three councils.
Daily tasks will include:
Analysing and resolving IT incidents with a varying degree of complexity
To maintain system performance across the authority’s IT estate
Assist with access control configuration to 2000+ users across the partnership
To provide support for in excess of 50+ corporate systems.
This role is full-time and will see the applicant work predominantly at one of three office locations across the 3C district council main sites in Huntingdon, Cambridge City and South Cambourne. There will be a requirement to travel to the other sites on occasion.
The successful applicant should be prepared to work a variety of shift patterns, including 07:00 – 15:00, 08:00 – 16:00, 09:00 – 17:00, and 10:00 – 18:00. The specific shift assigned will depend on the current team setup, but we will strive to accommodate individual preferences while ensuring that the overall logistical needs of the team and business requirements are met.
In line with the council's flexible working policy, there may be opportunities for individuals to work remotely on a case-by-case basis.
A basic DBS check is required on appointment.
