Summary
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care Provide consultations via facetoface, telephone, and video appointments. Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute, chronic, and complex conditions. Undertake clinical examinations, formulate treatment plans, and provide ongoing monitoring. Provide safe, effective prescribing and medicines management in line with local and national guidelines. Manage longterm conditions in collaboration with the nursing and pharmacy teams. Support sameday urgent care through participation in the duty doctor rota. Request and interpret relevant investigations, referring patients appropriately.Teamworking & Collaboration Work closely with GPs, ANPs, practice nurses, pharmacists, mental health practitioners, and administrative teams. Participate in MDT meetings and contribute to shared care planning. Provide leadership and clinical support to colleagues when required. Engage with the Primary Care Network to support wider service delivery and patient outcomes.Clinical Governance & Safety Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with GMC guidance and practice policies. Engage in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, and the development of best practice. Adhere to safeguarding processes and escalate concerns appropriately. Contribute to the management of risk, ensuring patient safety and effective practice functioning.Education, Development & Leadership Participate in clinical meetings, protected learning time, and ongoing CPD activities. Support training, mentoring, or supervision of trainees and students if appropriate. Maintain professional registration, revalidation standards, and uptodate knowledge across clinical areas.Administrative Duties Review laboratory results, hospital letters, and internal queries in a timely manner. Complete reports, referrals, medicals, and other documentation as required.
