Summary
Kieran, a young man living in Fernhill, Rutherglen, is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant / Support Worker to join his small team.
Kieran would like to find someone who is active, confident, enthusiastic, kind and patient—someone who can encourage and support him to enjoy days out and activities that interest him.
He enjoys walking, listening to music, ten-pin bowling, trampolining, visiting museums, football, and learning new things.
Kieran is an intelligent and engaging individual with Autism, Severe Anxiety and Complex Needs. He is nonverbal and uses an iPad App to communicate.
A typical day may include supporting Kieran on trips out, helping him with his morning routine, and prompting or assisting with personal care and self-help tasks throughout the day. You will also encourage independent living skills and provide support with everyday tasks as required.
A driving licence is essential (access to your own vehicle preferred but not essential).
Kieran values someone who is patient, understanding, and respectful—someone who can support him at his own pace and help him build confidence in new situations.
