I am a mum of four looking for a kind, reliable and proactive Personal Assistant to support me in managing day‑to‑day life in our busy, neurodiverse household. Due to a spinal injury, my mobility is limited and I experience numbness in my arms and one leg, which can make organising and running the family home overwhelming at times. Having the right PA would make a huge positive difference to my daily life and to our family as a whole.
We’re a warm, lively household full of personality and routines. I love spending time in my garden—which is currently full of spring bulbs—and we also share our home with five friendly, entertaining cats who love company. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable in a home with children, cats, and a lot of real-life family energy.
You would be supporting me with a mix of household, organisational and community‑based tasks, such as:
Helping me stay on top of household admin and weekly planning
Being on call when I shower (setting up and tidying away)
Supporting with organising and attending local appointments (GP, school, etc.) for my children
Light household tasks to keep things running smoothly
Assisting with day‑to‑day tasks that are physically difficult due to my spinal injury
Helping me access the community more confidently and independently
Occasional support with the children’s routines or activities
Being an extra pair of steady hands in a busy home
This role is ideal for someone who is calm, patient, and understanding of neurodiversity. You don’t need previous PA experience, but you do need to be organised, compassionate, and able to take initiative
Duties include:
- Personal grooming
- Other relevant duties as required
- Administration
- Housekeeping
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Gardening
- Dressing / undressing
Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Must be comfortable with pets
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
- Able to support somebody who is a considerate smoker
