Job Title: Cleaning Operative
Responsible to: Business Support Manager
Hours: Part-time 2.5 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £12.71 per hour
Main Purpose of Job
We are looking for an extremely reliable Cleaning Operative to maintain the cleanliness of the Wyre Forest Citizen Advice Offices by performing tasks like vacuuming, mopping dusting, and disinfecting areas. These duties to be carried out preferably on a Friday afternoon and before we close at 4.30pm. Cleaning day and time could potentially change after successfully passing a probationary period.
Duties and responsibilities
• Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting all floors, surfaces, and furniture
• Cleaning and disinfecting toilet facilities and kitchens
• Emptying waste and recycling bins ensuring proper disposal
• Replenishing supplies for example soap, toilet paper and paper towels
• Keep cleaning equipment clean, functional, and in good repair
• Follow health and safety procedures, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
• Follow security procedures if working out of normal office opening hours
• Reporting any maintenance needs, defects, or hazards to your line manager or in their absence any senior member of staff
• Undertaking ad hoc cleaning in specific areas when required, for example window sills, skirting boards
• As directed by the Business Support Manager or CEO, carry out other duties within the scope of the post to ensure a clean environment for staff, visitors and volunteers.

Essential
• A strong eye for detail to ensure a high standard of cleanliness
• Ability to manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with other staff when necessary.
• Extremely reliable
Desirable
• Knowledge of how to safely use various cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Awareness of Health and Safety law including COSHH
