About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join the department of Allied Health, Social Work and Wellbeing to act as a personal assistant for one of our University Lecturers who has ADHD. This role involves providing invaluable support in managing the demands of academic life whilst navigating the unique challenges which ADHD can present. By offering tailored assistance and crucially, understanding, they can help to optimise the productivity, effectiveness and wellbeing of our lecturer. In doing so, this also contributes to the wellbeing and success of our students within the faculty.
The role requires skills in adaptability and flexibility alongside strong people skills. You will provide fundamental assistance by helping to plan scheduled activities on a weekly basis. In addition, you need to be prepared to adapt to changing needs and priorities to help troubleshoot problems and work with our staff member to find creative solutions to challenges as they arise.

About You
As support worker you will use your Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, Ability to work independently and as part of a team to create meaningful positive impacts on the work environment for this individual. In turn, this will underpin a strong experience for our students who will benefit from the staff member’s enthusiasm, knowledge and experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an education environment, managing schedules, task prioritisation, and workload triage to support a key member of the department.
