About the Role:

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and positive female Personal Care Assistant to support a friendly and fun-loving 24-year-old young lady with learning disabilities in her daily life.

This is a rewarding role supporting someone to live independently, enjoy activities, and maintain a good quality of life. The right person will have a great sense of humour, be happy to have a laugh, and bring a positive energy to each day.

Important Requirement:

This role is open to female applicants only due to the personal care and hygiene needs of the individual (in line with Equality Act 2010).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and support with daily routines
  • Assisting with moving and handling, including standing transfers (full training will be provided)
  • Supporting with outings, appointments, and social activities
  • Helping with day-to-day tasks and promoting independence
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting around animals, including horses
  • Administering medication
  • PEG/tube feeding
  • Understanding and implementing positive behaviour support
  • Supporting with epilepsy care
Requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
  • Comfortable around animals, especially horses
  • Physically able and confident with moving and handling tasks
  • Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to work a mixture of shifts
  • Available to work two weekends per month (Saturday & Sunday)
  • No smoking/vaping on site
  • A good sense of humour and a fun, friendly personality
  • Caring, patient, and respectful approach
Working Pattern:
  • Initially day and evening shifts only, with potential to include nights in the future
  • Flexible shifts across the week
  • Includes working 2 weekends per month
