Summary
Salary scale: OHCAT Fringe Business support pay scale, Grade: Level 4, SP 19-22, Actual Salary: £23,776.85- £25,295.93 (FTE £27,767.00- £ 29,541.00) plus Special School Allowance: Actual - £ 1,126.09 (FTE £1,315.070)
Location: Arbour Vale School, Farnham Rd, Farnham Royal, Slough SL2 3AE
Hours: 37 hours per week,8.30am to 16.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 16.00pm on Friday, 5 days per week, Term time only
Arbour Vale School is a large and inclusive special school in Slough, supporting pupils aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of educational needs. It is one of the largest special schools in the country, meeting the needs of children and young people with moderate learning difficulties, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning needs, and autism.
The school is purpose built with specialist facilities including a dedicated nursery and post-16 base, soft-play area, hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room, a newly refurbished library, well-equipped IT suite, dedicated music room and large sports hall.

The postholder will provide efficient and effective administrative support across both finance and human resources functions within a busy school environment. The role ensures accurate financial processing, compliance with policies, and smooth HR operations to support staff and leadership.
Key Responsibilities: • Assist in processing school orders, ensuring budget provision and authorisation prior to processing. • Monitor Agency staff timesheet approvals and provide Agency Flash Report data on a weekly basis • Monitor and process orders sent to AVS Resources mailbox and monitoring stock levels • To undertake the administrative duties associated with recruitment, probation, including drafting letters, filing etc. to ensure smooth operations • Ensure accurate and timely data input into HR systems, including: o New starters, leavers, amendments, maternity/paternity, absences, annual leave, etc. o Leave requests, including notifying staff and filing appropriately.
