Care Assistant for a 14yo boy P/T @£15.00/hr in LS20

Apply at UKCIL.com. Reference: 16262bee

I am a happy, smiley, and energetic 13-year-old boy. I enjoy going trampolining, playing on the swing, swimming, walking, going to the park, going out for drives, and visits to coffee shops for toast. I’d also love some company whilst relaxing on my iPad!

You will:· Support Willam when out in the community with accessing all the activities he enjoys.· Spend Time in the Garden (Swing and Trampoline)· Support Willam with his intimate care duties if needed (rare).· Be there but offer space in times of anxiousness.Extra Information:
We would like these hours to be used on some weekends but mostly during the school holidays. We are happy to be flexible with what days and hours the PA would like to do in those time frames.

I am non-verbal and I use PECs to communicate my wants and needs. I also communicate these through gestures. I use a visual timetable so I am aware what is happening in my day, but I will need some support with this.

I can get anxious and upset and will sometimes be loud or even reach out, especially when I am confused, hurt, or sad. I would need space, but the knowledge that someone is there helps.

I don’t like loud or startling noises, and like calm instruction when being asked to do something, if it’s planned. I can become distressed in these situations, so please ensure I can get to somewhere quiet and offer me some comfort, but sometimes I like being left to calm down on my own. Please also offer me food and drink to help me calm down.

I have limited awareness of danger and can be quite anxious in new places. I may refuse to enter somewhere new, so please keep to planned places.

Car driver is preferred.
