We’ll look to you to support programme activities in the delivery of the Identity and Access Management transformation programme
You’ll support the programme and project managers across a range of delivery tasks, including reporting, forecasting, communications, stakeholder management, risk and issue management
This is an opportunity to support and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders by collaborating across multiple franchises and functions at different levels of hierarchy
What you'll do
As a Portfolio Analyst, you’ll be supporting the Technology Portfolio Manager, Programme and Project Managers. You’ll also be monitoring portfolio, programme and project performance and quality across cost, schedule, resource scope, Risk, Assumption, Issue and Dependency (RAID), providing actionable insights for different stakeholders.
In addition, you’ll be collaborating with Programme Leads, Architects, Control Owners to track key milestones, including the maintenance of a high-level portfolio plan and a four-, six- and eight-week milestone look ahead. We’ll look to you to support the management of the implementation of the architecture outcomes, so that the design and delivered components are in line with our architecture.
Day-to-day, you'll be:
Providing MI and stakeholder feedback to support regular reviews of the change portfolio, and making sure it remains aligned with business priorities and within domain or platform risk and control appetites
Producing, developing and maintaining relevant, timely and accurate reporting
Supporting preparation activity for formal governance forums across the portfolio
Monitoring portfolio financial performance to ensure accuracy of financial forecasting, tracking and managing within approved budgets or tolerances
Ensuring adherence of the portfolio to defined governance frameworks such as Idea to Value
Supporting change control, benefits tracking to ensure the portfolio is delivering to defined commitments
The skills you'll need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need knowledge and experience of portfolio management theories, models and practices. You’ll also have a strong understanding of project, programme and governance frameworks.
In addition, you’ll need:
Experience of delivering portfolio analysis in a technology or IT environment
Good interpersonal skills
Familiarity with financial tracking
The ability to drive continuous improvement in PMO processes, reporting standards and portfolio assurance
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for delivery teams, executives or similar
