What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an ambitious school leader with experience across key stages 1 and 2 to work alongside our current Executive Headteacher as part of a forward-thinking leadership team.
Committed to ensuring our pupils leave school both numerate and literate, while also providing them with a wide range of opportunities and memorable experiences, our next Head of School will:
• be a visible and accessible leader who positively engages with parents, carers, local schools and the wider community
• have prior senior leadership experience and the ability to demonstrate a contribution to whole school improvement, including experience of leading curriculum and/or assessment
• be committed to the wellbeing of staff and pupils alike, while continuously driving standards
• ensure Ecclesfield continues to be a safe, relaxed and calm environment in which to work, play and learn

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Children’s Barred List check. Please note that it is a criminal offence to apply for this post if you have been placed on the Children’s Barred List.
