Customer Service Operator - Workington (Hybrid Working after training)
Our client, a reputable organisation based in Workington, is hiring a dedicated Customer Service Operator for a full-time, 10-month assignment with the potential for extension. This role offers a friendly, professional environment where your communication skills and attention to detail will make a real difference.
What you'll be doing:
* Responding to customer queries via telephone with clear, helpful advice and resolutions.
* Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence with livestock keepers to meet performance targets.
* Using IT systems to update and maintain livestock data and customer records accurately.
* Ensuring customer details are current, compliant with Ministerial targets.
* Communicating effectively to ensure understanding and compliance.
* Maintaining daily performance statistics for reporting.
* Organising your workload independently to deliver high-quality results on time.
* Participating in training and personal development activities.
* Sharing best practices and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
* Supporting cross-functional teams within Operations as needed.
What you'll bring:
* Confidence in using a computer, managing files, and navigating systems.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
* Excellent telephone manner-friendly, polite, and professional.
* Good listening skills, with the ability to ask clarifying questions.

* Customer service experience, with a versatile, all-rounder attitude.
Additional details:
* Salary: £13.47 per hour
* Hours: 37 hours/week, with flexible hours post-training (7am - 7pm depending on business need. During training hours will be 9am - 5pm)
* Training: Fully office-based for 3-6 weeks, then hybrid working (3 days onsite, 2 from home)
* Duration: 10 months, with potential extension
* Location: Workington
