About the Role
Our client, a well‑established organisation based in Manchester, is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Finance Assistant to join their team on a temporary 6‑month basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is available to start at short notice.
Key Responsibilities
As the Finance Assistant, you will support the wider finance team with day‑to‑day transactional duties, including:
- Processing purchase invoices and maintaining accurate records
- Matching, batching and coding invoices
- Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
- Supporting month‑end processes and reporting
- Managing expense claims and payment runs
- Handling finance queries from internal stakeholders and suppliers
- General administrative support to the finance department
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
- Is confident with accounting software and MS Excel
- Possesses excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Can work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Has strong communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude
