Summary
Part or Full-time Live-in Carer Required – Parkinson’s Care (Private Household, Eaton, Norwich)
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable live-in carer to support a kind and good-humoured 76-year-old gentleman living with advanced Parkinson’s disease. This is a rewarding role within a supportive and caring family environment. We are open to discussing job shares, part- or full-time positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full personal care with dignity and respect
- Monitor health and arrange necessary healthcare appointments
- Drive, and assist with wheelchair use for outings and appointments
- Support mobility within the home and garden (uses a rollator; supervision required at all times to prevent falls)
- Support safe use of equipment including hospital bed and rise-and-recline chair
- Maintain a clean household
- Assist with grocery shopping, prepare nutritious meals and monitor sugar intake
- Encourage gentle exercise
- Assist with phone, radio, iPad, TV use and reading
- Provide companionship, including facilitating contact with friends/family
Requirements:
- Experience in care (Parkinson’s preferred)
- Patient, kind and attentive
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
Nice-to-haves:

Package:
- Salary: £34,000 – £42,000 per annum (equivalent to £650 – £807 per week) depending on experience
- Live-in, 5 days per week (days off covered by family/agency/another carer)
- 28 days leave per annum (excluding bank holidays)
- Private bedroom and food for meals provided
