Summary
The Best Connection (Newcastle) is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver to join our well-established client based in the Blaydon area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver looking for consistent, local work with a reputable civil engineering specialist.
The Role:
- Operating an 8-wheel Class 2 Tipper vehicle.
- Transporting aggregates, soil, and "muck-away" materials.
- Navigating active construction sites and quarries safely.
- Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks.
- Adhering to all tachograph and driving regulations.
Pay & Hours:
- £15.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday operation.
- Typical start times: 06:30 / 07:00.
- Ongoing, long-term work available for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous experience operating a tipper or 8-wheel rigid vehicle (preferred).
- Good knowledge of the North East road network.
- Ability to work independently and follow site safety protocols.
