Key responsibilities
• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes, Lunch menu, ensuring high quality and hygiene standards.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
• Handle special dietary requirements and guest preferences, ensuring a positive breakfast/ Lunch experience.
• Assist with menu planning and suggest seasonal items.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with food safety requirements
• Provide excellent customer service with a helpful and approachable manner
• Use of Kitchen equipment
• Support occasional events or meetings with buffet/refreshment provision

seeking a friendly, confident and capable Chef to join our small but mighty team. Based at the heart of North Mersey Business Centre, Mersey Brew is a growing independent café committed to serving quality coffee and warm hospitality to our tenants, visitors and the wider Knowsley community.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Confidence using Kitchen equipment
• Pre preparing and cooking Fresh food.
• Coffee machine and making espresso-based drinks (or willingness to learn)
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Attention to detail and cleanliness
• A positive, “can-do” attitude and willingness to be flexible
• Prior Chef experience preferred

Qualifications required
• Food hygiene certificate (Level 2) desirable –
or willingness to complete upon appointment
