Summary


The Royal Marsden, Private Care Service currently operates from 3 sites in Chelsea, Cavendish Square and Sutton and in additional has a medical day unit at Kingston Hospital.

The successful applicant will join the existing team of Speciality Doctors and Advanced Nurse Practioners (ANP’s) based within the Private Care Medical Day Units (PPMDU). The post holder will be based in London at both Chelsea and Cavendish Square sites and will be expected to cross cover across the medical day units within the Trust for absent colleagues.

You will liaise with consultant staff, Registrars, and all multi-disciplinary team members across all sub-specialties within the Trust. They will manage the day-to-day care of private patients receiving chemotherapy, targeted therapies and will look after complications arising from treatment. They will work along-side the ANP’s and ward team, in assessing and managing acutely un-well patients whose visits are sometimes un-planned.

The post-holder will have the opportunity to attend the MDT meeting and academic teaching sessions appropriate to their clinical workload.
