Summary


The Deputy Director of Finance is a key senior leadership role, responsible for delivering high-quality business partnering to one of our six, newly formed, clinical care groups in line with professional accounting standards and ethical practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a newly formed senior leadership team.

Your role will include working closely with clinical and operational management colleagues at a senior level to provide an effective and productive business partnering relationship ensuring clear ownership and accountability for budgets and responsive financial insight.

You will also be part of the Trust's senior financial leadership team with a focus on ensuring financial sustainability and supporting achievement of Trust objectives. You will lead, develop, and empower finance colleagues, fostering a culture of inclusion, professional growth, and talent development.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record of delivering results, successful management of multiple, concurrent programmes of work, with enthusiasm and commitment to driving change, and motivating teams. Excellent relationship-building, communication, and engagement skills are essential for influencing across the Trust and wider system.
• · Operational financial advice and decision support: Providing financial analysis, insight, and challenge to support delivery of Trust objectives.

· Financial planning and analysis: Leading budgeting, forecasting, and tracking variances. Supporting the development of recovery plans as required to ensure financial targets are met.

· Performance management: Monitoring key performance indicators to assess financial health and operational efficiency.

· Stakeholder management: Collaborating with clinical and operational colleagues to provide financial guidance and build trusted relationships.

· Investment support: Supporting and evaluating business cases including identifying sources of funding for developments aligned to Trust objectives.

· Cost management and productivity: Supporting clinical and operational colleagues to Identify opportunities for increased productivity and cost savings and driving efficiency improvements across the Trust.
