Summary
Spar Main Street
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and supporting day-to-day retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide friendly and helpful customer service at all times
Assist customers with product selection and queries
Operate the till and handle transactions accurately
Replenish stock and ensure shelves are well-presented
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the store
Assist with deliveries and stockroom management
Follow company procedures, including health & safety guidelines
Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment
Requirements:
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred (essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexible to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
Basic numeracy and IT skills
Reliable, punctual, and a team player
