Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Temporary Accommodation, Housing Register, and Allocations teams to deliver high-quality and customer-focused services.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that comply with legislation and best practice in housing services.
Oversee the administration of the housing register, ensuring fair and transparent allocation of properties to eligible applicants.
Monitor and improve temporary accommodation provision to meet the needs of vulnerable individuals and families.
Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and housing providers to optimize service delivery and address housing challenges.
Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with allocated resources.
Analyze housing data and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and continuous service improvement.
Requirements
Proven leadership experience in managing housing services, particularly temporary accommodation, housing register, and allocations.
Strong knowledge of housing legislation, statutory requirements, and local housing policies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and deliver results within resource constraints.
Experience in managing budgets and financial oversight in a public sector or housing environment.
Proficiency in using housing management systems and data analysis tools to support decision making.
A commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and promoting equitable access to housing services.
